Temporary Partial Disability (TPD)

If upon obtaining post-injury employment, the employee is unable to earn wages as great as those earned pre-injury, the employee may be entitled to weekly compensation equal to two-thirds of the difference between the post-injury and pre-injury average weekly wages, so long as the amount does not exceed the applicable maximum weekly compensation rate. 

For claims arising on or after June 24, 2011, temporary partial disability benefits may not be paid for more than a total of 500 weeks, and any weeks that temporary total disability benefits are paid will be counted when determining whether the employee has reached the 500-week maximum.
