The Industrial Commission administers the Childhood Vaccine-Related Injury Compensation Program, which handles claims for injuries caused by certain vaccines administered on or after October 1, 1988, under Chapter 130A, Article 17 of the North Carolina General Statutes. The Industrial Commission has adopted rules, known as the Childhood Vaccine-Related Injury Rules, which apply to claims filed under this program.
