Revised Maximum Compensation Rate for 2014 |
Based on updated information received, the North Carolina Industrial Commission has revised the maximum weekly benefit for 2014 pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. §97-29. The maximum weekly benefit applicable to all injuries and claims arising on and after January 1, 2014, shall be nine hundred four dollars ($904.00). Employers and carriers who have paid disability compensation at the rate of $912.00 for claims arising on or after January 1, 2014, shall be entitled to a credit for related overpayments. This credit may be applied pursuant to the terms of N.C. Gen. Stat. §97-42. If there is a dispute about the existence or application of a credit in a claim, any party may file a motion with the Executive Secretary’s Office.
