The North Carolina Industrial Commission accepts some payments and documents electronically. The manner of transmission varies with the type of payment or document being submitted.

Electronic Document Filing Portal

Pursuant to Rule 11 NCAC 23A .0108, the Electronic Document Filing Portal (EDFP) is the exclusive means by which those required by the Rule shall submit specific Industrial Commission documents, forms and associated attachments which are capable of being accepted electronically.

Document Submission via Mail or E-mail

All document submissions to the Industrial Commission that are not required to be submitted via EDFP or EDI must be filed via e-mail or mail pursuant to Rule 11 NCAC 23A .0108(e) Table 1. Claimants and unrepresented employers are excepted from the electronic filing requirement.

Filing Form 19 via EDI

EDI, Electronic Data Interchange, allows the exchange of data between two computer systems where each computer system must present the data in a standardized format known to the other system. The North Carolina Industrial Commission uses EDI to receive electronic Form 19s from Carriers and TPAs.

Pay Invoice Online

Invoices received from the Industrial Commission which are associated with an IC File Number may be paid online via Credit Card (MasterCard or VISA) or e-Check.
