Chairman Tyler Younts is pleased to announce the reappointment of Tiffany Mack Smith as a Deputy Commissioner. Smith will continue to serve in the Industrial Commission’s Charlotte office.
Smith began her first term as a Deputy Commissioner in November 2020. Before joining the Commission, she practiced with Wallace & Graham, P.A., in Salisbury, North Carolina, and Ferguson Chambers & Sumter, P.A., in Charlotte, North Carolina. In private practice, she focused primarily on workers’ compensation, Social Security disability, and civil litigation.
Smith grew up in Salisbury, North Carolina. She received a B.A. and a B.S. from Western Carolina University, graduating magna cum laude with majors in Criminal Justice and Spanish and a minor in Business Law. She received her J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law, where she served as Executive Editor of the North Carolina Central Law Review and graduated cum laude.
Smith’s second six-year term will begin on November 2, 2026.
