The Industrial Commission is pleased to announce the appointment of Gina E. Cammarano to serve as a Deputy Commissioner. She will be assigned to the Industrial Commission’s Raleigh office. In addition to her Deputy Commissioner duties, Cammarano will continue to perform the responsibilities of General Counsel, including rulemaking, until further notice.
Cammarano is an experienced workers’ compensation attorney with a diverse and well-rounded skill set gained through progressively responsible experience in the private sector and State government.
Cammarano practiced workers’ compensation law in the private sector for 18 years before joining the Industrial Commission in 2019 as Rulemaking Coordinator and then serving as General Counsel. She has been a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in workers’ compensation law since 2006, and she is a Fellow of the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers. Prior to entering private practice, Cammarano was a Special Deputy Commissioner at the Industrial Commission.
Cammarano earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and her J.D. with Honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
