In Memoriam: Deputy Commissioner David “Mark” Hullender

The Industrial Commission mourns the loss of our dear colleague and friend Deputy Commissioner Mark Hullender. Deputy Commissioner Hullender joined the Industrial Commission as a Deputy Commissioner in April of 2015, and he served the Commission honorably and with dedication for over 11 years. Prior to joining the Commission, he practiced law in Kings Mountain, North Carolina for many years, during which time he served on the North Carolina Indigent Defense Services Commission. Deputy Commissioner Hullender earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and he graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina Central University School of Law. He also held an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida School of Law. The Industrial Commission is grateful to Deputy Commissioner Hullender for his many years of service to the Industrial Commission and to the citizens of North Carolina.
