  “The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) promotes a safe and healthy working environment by providing information and advice about occupational health and safety. CCOHS provides a comprehensive computerized information service, CCINFO, delivered through compact disc (CD-ROM) an online system, CCINFOline, and diskette products. CCINFO assists thousands of users in some fifty countries in meeting their information needs. ”

  This non-government site provides information on all 12 Canadian provinces’ Workers’ Compensation boards.

• Manitoba Labour Workplace Safety and Health—http://www.gov.mb.ca/manitoba/safety/index.html
  “The Workplace Safety and Health Division of the Manitoba Labour Department administers the Workplace Safety and Health Act and its regulations in order that safety and health hazards are detected and prevented in all provincial workplaces. The goal is to eliminate workplace fatalities and to reduce workplace injuries and health hazards.”

  The board coordinates the Workers’ Compensation system, assists injured workers and their employers by providing timely medical and rehabilitative support, facilitates the efforts of injured workers to return to work; and provides appropriate compensation for work-related disabilities.
