DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The primary purpose of the Applications Analyst Programmer is to manage the NCIC Electronic Document Management System. This includes: making programming changes and enhancements to the system, modifying and enhancing the automated work flow processes, arranging for or providing the necessary hardware and software maintenance, and structuring queries to the database to obtain statistical data and tracking reports needed by the Commission. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of revisions to the system. Also will be responsible for communicating effectively with all Industrial Commission personnel and understanding their business requirements.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from a four-year college or university with nine semester hours in data processing and three years of progressive experience in programming and applications analysis; or graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in computer science, information systems management or a related curriculum and two years of progressive experience in programming and applications analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A degree directly related to the technical nature of the applications (s) assigned may be substituted for up to six months of the experience required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Prefer familiarity with C or C++. Experience with any aspects of an electronic document management system is beneficial. Familiarity with the MS-Office suite and basic networking concepts is desirable.
