FirstReport is a PC-based software program that helps employers comply easily, quickly and accurately with workers' compensation injury reporting requirements and with OSHA recordkeeping standards.
Most employers fill out first reports of injury and OSHA logs manually or with a typewriter. WHY? Because most of the software available to do these tasks is too complicated and much too expensive. FirstReport is a software product that combines ease of use with a price tag that is affordable to even the smallest employers.

FirstReport utilizes the first report of injury form approved by the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC). Its creator plans to expand the usefulness of the program by adding customized state specific forms as quickly as possible.
FirstReport is easy to use—Since this is software that normally isn't used daily, or even weekly, instructions that would normally be found in a "help" file appear on screen at the appropriate time. Command buttons are labeled in English instead of non-standard icons.
No repetitive typing—With FirstReport you only enter the basic information about your business once. The program automatically enters this information on all forms once the software is initialized. Questions likely to have the same answer from one report to the next, have an "auto-fill" feature which avoids repetitive typing.
Easy entering of information—Information is entered into FirstReport by answering questions and filling in onscreen blanks. All the questions and answer spaces are large enough to read easily. FirstReport limits your answers to the number of characters that will fit on the printed version of the forms. Answers that are too long for the printed form can be condensed.
Risk management tool—FirstReport helps identify hazards and patterns of risk. FirstReport tracks information about the location, department, body part, type and cause of injuries and illnesses that occur. You can use this information as a basis for corrective action.
Handles multiple locations—FirstReport tracks one location or several, depending upon your needs. If your company has more than twenty or thirty locations, and several thousand employees, don't worry, the program will handle all of them.
Microsoft Office compatible—FirstReport is Microsoft Office compatible. Data can be easily exported to Microsoft Access or Microsoft Excel for further analysis. (Of course, FirstReport is a stand alone program, and does not need any part of Microsoft Office on the computer in order to run properly.)
Network ready—FirstReport runs on Windows 95, Windows 3.x, and Windows NT. It will run on a stand-alone PC and is network ready.
System Requirements—Microsoft Windows 3.x, Windows 95, or Windows NT; a 486 or Pentium based computer with at least 8 megabytes of memory; 6 megabytes of available hard drive space; a Microsoft mouse or other compatible pointing device; a laser or inkjet printer.
FirstReport will run on a 386 based computer, or with only 4 megabytes of memory, but will be considerably slower. More memory will have a greater effect on performance than more processing power.
