The Deputy Commissioner Section of the North Carolina Industrial Commission is implementing procedural changes and the timing of cases for trial effective with the February 2008 docket. An outline of the changes, including a standardized Pre-Trial Order approved by the Full Commission, has been sent by facsimile transmission and by e-mail to every attorney and law firm in our system’s database. It is very important that everyone with an interest in Industrial Commission proceedings in the Deputy Commissioner Section be aware of the changes. Upon receipt of the documents outlining the changes, we ask that they receive the widest possible dissemination.

The final report of workers’ compensation cases identified for docketing before the Deputy Commissioner Section in February 2008 has been posted on the Industrial Commission website at http://www.comp.state.nc.us. The link to the February 2008 final trial docket is identified as “Final Master List of Cases for Docketing, February 2008, by Deputy Commissioner Section.” Cases are posted by Region/IC File Number, Alphabetically by Plaintiff, and Alphabetically by Defendant.A new feature has been added to the Internet posting process. Cases that have been removed from the preliminary February docket announcement are highlighted in the color red. Cases that have been added since the February preliminary posting are highlighted in the color green. Cases that are to be specially set for hearing are highlighted in the color blue. This new feature permits users to track changes in the docketing process to verify that cases have been removed, added or specially set as requested by the parties.
