MINUTES
Pursuant to newly enacted N.C. Gen. Stat. §97-25.6, the Industrial Commission hereby adopts specific questions which an employer or insurer paying compensation for an admitted claim or paying without prejudice pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. §97-18(d) may use to communicate with an employee’s medical provider in writing. The attached Instructions to Workers’ Compensation Insurance Carriers, Third-Party Administrators, and Employers Regarding Access to Medical Information (consisting of one page) and the Workers’ Compensation Medical Status Questionnaire (consisting of two pages) are hereby adopted by the Industrial Commission and effective immediately.
