MEMORANDUM

Effective today, the Final Master Trial Docket for January 2008 is posted on the Industrial Commission website. This final docket incorporates all changes and revisions requested by the parties since the preliminary January 2008 Trial Docket was posted on November 5, 2007.

The link to the Final Docket for January 2008 is located on the front page of the NCIC website, identified as “Master List of Cases for Docketing, January 2008, by Deputy Commissioner Section.” The cases are listed by Region/IC File Number, Alphabetically by Plaintiff, and Alphabetically by Defendant.

Note that the January 2008 trial docket includes over 100 “Form 53” cases. These are outstanding matters referred to the Deputy Commissioner Section for formal judicial inquiry by the Claims Administration Section. For more information please refer to the Memorandum by Stephen T. Gheen, Chief Deputy Commissioner, posted on the Industrial Commission website on October 19, 2007.

In reviewing the November 2007 Final Trial Docket, contact this office immediately by e-mail at brannena@ind.commerce.state.nc.us if there is a case that should be removed, if a case needs to be added or is missing or if a case requires a special setting and is not noted as such. Note: A special setting is a case that requires four or more hours for hearing. If your case requires a special setting, advise the estimated length of hearing so the matter can be docketed accordingly.

Remember, no requests will be considered without a copy to opposing counsel or the pro se party.

Hearing trips will be determined and assigned to the Deputy Commissioners through the beginning of next week. Therefore, further changes to the January 2008 Final Docket must be received by 12:00 pm Friday, November 16th for consideration.
