FROM: |
Sandra P. Cortes, Deputy Trial Administrator |

SUBJECT: |
Preliminary Master List of Cases for Docketing, September 2010, by the Deputy Commissioners Section |
The preliminary report of workers’ compensation cases identified for docketing before the Deputy Commissioner Section in September 2010 is posted on the Industrial Commission website at http://www.ic.nc.gov/. The link to the September 2010 preliminary trial docket can be found under “Hot News”—“Breaking News & Important Announcements.” Cases are listed by Region/I.C. File Number, Alphabetically by Plaintiff, and Alphabetically by Defendant.
An update of the September 2010 trial docket, including cases added or removed at the request of the trial bar and cases released from mediation, will be posted on Thursday, July 22, 2010. Additions will appear highlighted in green, removals will appear highlighted in red, and cases identified as special sets or pre-trial conferences will be highlighted in blue.
The final September 2010 trial docket will post on Monday, July 26, 2010. The final posting will include all revisions incorporated from the preliminary postings and any further additions or removals requested. Therefore, requests for continuances, removals, additions, and other changes to the September 2010 trial docket should be forwarded via e-mail to Sandra.Cortes@ic.nc.gov no later than 12 noon on Friday, July 23, 2010.
** Requests for changes to the trial docket will not be considered unless opposing counsel is copied. **
Please do not include motions, proposed orders, or other attachments in your e-mail request. Such documents are not necessary during this stage of the docketing process. You may, of course, send information to be forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner ultimately assigned to hear the case(s). I am more than happy to keep these materials on file until such time.
On or before Friday, July 30, 2010, Deputy Commissioner case assignments for September 2010 will be posted. This will allow the parties to submit pre-trial agreements, motions and other information to the appropriate Deputy Commissioner prior to receipt of trial dockets.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. I am glad to be of assistance.
