We encourage everyone who plans to attend the 76th Annual N.C. Statewide Safety Conference to PREREGISTER BY FAX ONLY, using one of the two Preregistration Forms listed below. There is no registration charge. 

*Before viewing or printing the PDF (Portable Document Format) version of this Preregistration Form, you  must download and   install a FREE version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Please print out, complete, and fax the Preregistration Form to the attention of the Safety Education Section at (919) 715-0282 no later than April 28, 2006. Please print or type all information.

N.C. Safety Conference Awards

N.C. Statewide Safety Conference awards presentations will be held on May 10th following the Workers Compensation Session. Awards to be presented include (1) N.C. Statewide Safety Talk Contest trophies; (2) the Governor’s Trophy in recognition of the regional safety council with the most outstanding performance of 2005; and (3) the H. S. “Shine” Baucom Award for long service to the N.C. Statewide Safety Conference, and (4) the Jim Howell Award for excellence in the field of safety in North Carolina. Join us as we recognize those in the field of safety and accident prevention who have made exceptional contributions to safety in the workplace.

SAFETY VIDEO LIBRARY

The Industrial Commission's Video Library is a non-commercial library of safety and training videos for use by North Carolina employers in employee-training programs. Click here for a complete list of video titles on an interactive web page or in a shorter printable PDF file, a complete list of videos with descriptions, and a Video Library Rules and Loan Request Form (a PDF file).

Video loans are made only by written, signed requests on the Safety Education Section's video loan form (a PDF file). The video loan form may be photocopied as needed and mailed to the N.C. Industrial Commission, Safety Education Section, 4339 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, North Carolina 27699-4339. You may fax your request to (919) 715-0282. Your request must be received at least 30 days prior to your show date. If your show date is not critical, indicate “Next Available Date.”

SAFETY TRAINING SERVICES

The Industrial Commission Safety Section offers safety training for Industry. Employers have found that training employees and supervisors is beneficial in reducing workers’ compensation costs. Training courses are scheduled by the Industrial Commission’s Safety Representatives: Western Piedmont and Central Piedmont Areas: Randy Cranfill (919) 218-2986; Western Carolina, Blue Ridge, and Southern Piedmont Areas: Eric Johnson (919) 218-3567; Mid-State Area: Mel Harmon (919) 218-3374; and Northeastern, Eastern, and Southeastern Areas: Alvin Scott (919) 218-2792.
