We encourage everyone who plans to attend the 75th Annual N.C. Statewide Safety Conference to PREREGISTER BY FAX ONLY, using one of the two Preregistration Forms listed below. There is no registration charge.

N.C. Safety Conference Awards

N.C. Statewide Safety Conference awards presentations will be held on May 3rd following the Workers Compensation Session. Awards to be presented include (1) N.C. Statewide Safety Talk Contest trophies; (2) the Governor’s Trophy in recognition of the regional safety council with the most outstanding performance of 2004; and (3) the H. S. “Shine” Baucom Award for long service to the N.C. Statewide Safety Conference, and (4) the Jim Howell Award for excellence in the field of safety in North Carolina. Join us as we recognize those in the field of safety and accident prevention who have made exceptional contributions to safety in the workplace.

SAFETY VIDEO LIBRARY

The Safety Video Library has over 350 VHS safety videos, all donated to the Commission for free loan to North Carolina industry. Videos may be scheduled by written request. There is no charge to schedule. The borrower agrees to not copy the video, and to return the video by UPS to the Video Library in Raleigh. Over 50,000 people viewed the videos last year.

SAFETY TRAINING SERVICES

The Industrial Commission Safety Section offers safety training for Industry. Employers have found that training employees and supervisors is beneficial in reducing workers’ compensation costs.
