RE: Retirement of Deputy Commissioner Richard B. Ford
I have been notified
by Deputy Commissioner Richard Ford that he is retiring. Mr. Ford joined the
Commission as a Deputy Commissioner in 1984. He is a graduate of the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and of Harvard University Law School. He
formerly was a private practitioner in Buncombe County. He has over 50 years of
legal experience. Mr. Ford's experience and understanding of the workers'
compensation law as well as his wit and humor will be missed at the Commission.
Please join me in wishing him the best in his retirement.
