RE: Deputy Commissioner Hearings—Adverse Weather Policy
Industrial Commission Rule 611(7) provides that “[i]n the event of inclement weather or natural disaster, hearings shall be cancelled if the proceedings in the General Court of Justice in the county in which the hearings are set are cancelled.” The State Tort Claim Rules of the Industrial Commission have an equivalent provision.
Therefore, parties should check their local news media for closings. If you should have any questions regarding any hearing, please communicate with the Deputy Commissioner assigned to the case or that Deputy's Legal Assistant.
