Summary  of  Workers  Comp  Experience For  two  and  half  years  I  served  as  a  Deputy  Commissioner  for  the  North  Carolina  Industrial  Commission  where  I  maintained  jurisdiction  over  hundreds  of  workers'  compensation  cases.  This  allowed  me  to  see  claims  from  all  angles;  hearing  cases,  rendering  decisions,  and  issuing  orders.      Prior  to  joining  the  Commission  I  worked  as  a  defense  attorney  with  the  Gallivan,  White,  &  Boyd  firm  representing  employers,  insurance  carriers,  and  TPA's.    While  in  law  school  I  worked  as  a  summer  law  clerk  with  the  DeVore,  Actin  &  Stafford  firm  assisting  plaintiff  counsel  in  preparing  cases  on  injured  workers.
